The NES Sunbeam School, dating back to 1963, is the oldest in the NES educational hierarchy. In a 10’ x 10’ dilapidated hut on Bhattipada Cross Road (now National School Marg), Bhandup (West), the school saw its birth with 7 children from the slum area of Bhandup drawn from the playgrounds, and practically groomed on the lap of the Founder, Dr. R. Varadarajan, a lone teenage teacher, in those days.

Today NES Sunbeam school stands tall and proud with a student strength of 1050 and faculty strength of 40, comprising 2 standards Jr. KG. and Sr. KG., each standard having 11 divisions. The highly aesthetic appearance of the classrooms, the swimming pool, Math Lab, Activity Centre, Play Area, Computer Lab, Music / Dance Class and wide range of teaching aids and tools, the play way method of teaching and, above all, the individual and personalized care for every student in fetching 100% results has made the school very invaluable to the students and parents.
